Software Engineer
Masdar Institute - Abu Dhabi

Develops information systems and web applications by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.

Principal Responsibilities 
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, and proposed solutions.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
  • Apply sound software engineering practices to system integration, design and development (e.g., systematic approach to system specification, architecture, design, development and documentation of code, configuration management, inspections ad testing, packaging and deployment).
  • Analyze, design and develop web-based application software according to Masdar Institute requirements.
  • Integrate applications and develops Portal widgets and other tools to integrate and extract data from different sources.
  • Perform and facilitate to the end-user the generation of information systems reports.
  • Train users, provide second line of support for applications software, Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Develop, document, and explain technical decision.
  • Recognize and deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Handle shifting priorities and meet inflexible deadlines

Critical Skills/experience required 
  • Be a UAE national.
  • BSc degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development.
  • Knowledge and experience of software engineering and development, software design, integration and testing of software systems, requirements analysis and specification synthesis.
  • Solid experience in designing and developing with Java and PHP.
  • Strong background and extensive experience with system integration, XML and web services implementations.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools, social media marketing and online reputation management. Experience in administrating web content management systems. Experience with Joomla CMS is a plus.
  • Understanding of mobile app development and LAMP environment is an advantage.
  • Experience using source code control, configuration management, and problem tracking tools.

ராமநாதபுரம் கலெக்டர் அலுவலகத்தில் ஊழியர் தற்கொலை?!!

ராமநாதபுரம் கலெக்டர் அலுவலகத்தில் சத்துணவு திட்ட அலுவலக உதவியாளர் தூக்குப் போட்டு தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டார். இதுகுறித்து போலீசார் தீவிர விசாரணை மேற் கொண்டு வருகின்றனர்.


அலுவலக உதவியாளர்:

ராமநாதபுரம் வீட்டுவசதி வாரிய குடியிருப்பு ‘சி’ பிரி வில் குடியிருந்து வருபவர் ஆறுமுகம் என்பவரின் மகன் சண்முகவேலு(வயது57). ராமநாதபுரம் கலெக்டர் அலு வலகத்தில் உள்ள சத்துணவு திட்ட பிரிவில் அலுவலக உத வியாளராக பணியாற்றி வரு கிறார். இவர் நேற்று காலை தனது அலுவலகத்தில் மின் விசிறியில் கைலியால் தூக்கு போட்டு தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டார். காலையில் வேலைக்கு வந்த அலுவலக பணியாளர்கள் சண்முக வேலு தூக்குப்போட்டு தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டதை கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்தனர்.

இதுபற்றி தகவல் அறிந்த போலீஸ் துணை சூப்பிரண்டு அண்ணாமலை ஆழ்வார் தலைமையில் கேணிக்கரை போலீஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் முரு கன் மற்றும் போலீசார் அங்கு விரைந்து சென்று சண்முக வேலுவின் உடலை கைப்பற்றி அரசு ஆஸ்பத்திரிக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தனர். தடயவியல் நிபு ணர்கள் வரவழைக்கப்பட்டு அங்கு பதிவாகி இருந்த தட யங்களை பதிவு செய்தனர். இதுபற்றி அறிந்த மாவட்ட போலீஸ் சூப்பிரண்டு மயில் வாகனன் சம்பவ இடத்திற்கு நேரில் வந்து ஆய்வு செய்து விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டார். அலுவலக உதவியாளர் சண் முகவேலுவின் தற்கொலைக் கான காரணம் குறித்து அலுவ லகத்தில் பணியாற்றும் ஊழி யர்களிடமும், குடும்பத் தினரி டமும் போலீசார் தீவிர விசா ரணை மேற்கொண்டு வருகின் றனர்.

மிரட்டல்:

இந்த நிலையில் இந்த சம் பவம் குறித்து சண்முகவேலு வின் மனைவி வெண்ணிலா கூறியதாவது:– எனது கணவர் செல்போன் பயன்படுத்தமாட் டார். இதன் காரணமாக எனது செல்போன் எண்ணைத் தான் அனைவரிடமும் கொடுத்து பேசிவந்தார். நேற்று முன்தினம் ஞாயிற்று கிழமை எனது கணவரின் அலுவலகத்தில் இருந்து பேசிய அதிகாரி ஒருவர் அலுவலக தபாலை கொடுத்து வரவேண் டும் எனவே, உடனடியாக அலு வலகத்திற்கு வரச்சொல் லுமாறு கூறினார். எங்களின் பேரக்குழந்தைக்கு உடல்நிலை சரியில்லாததால் அவரால் உட னடியாக அலுவலகத்திற்கு செல்ல முடியவில்லை.

நேற்று காலை மீண்டும் தொடர்பு கொண்ட அந்த அதி காரி எனது கணவர் தபால் கொடுக்க வரவில்லை. எனவே, உடனடியாக அலுவலகத்திற்கு வரவேண்டும். இல்லாவிட் டால் கலெக்டரிடம் கூறி வேலையில் இருந்து தூக்கி விடு வதாக மிரட்டி விட்டு செல் போனை வைத்துவிட்டார். இதுகுறித்து அறிந்த எனது கணவர் மனப்பதற்றத்துடன் அவசர அவசரமாக அலுவல கத்திற்கு சென்றார். அங்கு சென்றவர் தூக்கு போட்டு தற் கொலை செய்து கொண்டார். இந்த சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக தீவிர விசாரணை நடத்தி உண்மை நிலையை வெளிக் கொண்டு வரவேண்டும். இதற்கு காரண மானவர்கள் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண் டும். இவ்வாறு கூறினார். இது குறித்து வெண்ணிலா எழுத்து பூர்வமாக புகார் செய்துள்ளார்.

பரபரப்பு:

இதுபற்றி சண்முகவேலு வின் மகன் தாமரைக்கனி கூறியதாவது:– நாங்கள் சூரங் கோட்டை பகுதியில் புதிததாக வீடு கட்டி வருகிறோம். இதற்காக எனது தந்தையும், தாயும் அந்த வீட்டில் இருந்து வேலைகளை கவனித்து வந் தனர். நேற்று காலை எனது தாய் வெண்ணிலா என்னை தொடர்பு கொண்டு அலுவல கத்தில் இருந்து வந்த தொலை பேசி தகவல் குறித் தும், தந்தை அவசரம் அவசரமாக பதட் டத்துடன் செல்வதாகவும் உடனடியாக அங்கு சென்று பார்க்கும்படியும் கூறினார். இதைத்தொடர்ந்து நான் அலுவலகத்திற்கு சென்று பார்த்தபோது கதவு உள்புற மாக பூட்டப்பட்டு இருந்தது. இதனால் சந்தேகமடைந்த நான் மேல்புறமாக எட்டி பார்த்தபோது எனது தந்தை தூக்கில் தொங்கிய நிலையில் பிணமாக கிடந்தார். இதைக் கண்டு கதறி கூச்சலிட்டவுடன் அக்கம் பக்கத்தில் இருந்தவர் கள் வந்து அவர்களின் உதவியு டன் கதவை உடைத்து உள்ளே சென்றோம். எனது தந்தையின் இறப்பிற்கான உண்மை காரணத்தை கண்ட றிந்து கடும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும். இவ்வாறு கூறினார்.
இந்த நிலையில் மேற்படி சண்முகவேலுவின் மனை விக்கு செல்போனில் தொடர்பு கொண்டு பேசிய அலுவலக உதவியாளர் ஒரு வரை போலீசார் சந்தேகத் தின் பேரில் அழைத்து சென்று தீவிர விசாரணை மேற் கொண்டு வருகின்றனர். அவரின் மிரட்டலுக்கு பயந்து தற்கொலை செய்து கொண் டாரா?, அல்லது சண்முகவே லுவுக்கு வேறு ஏதாவது பிரச் சினை இருந்ததா? என்பது குறித்து முழு விசாரணைக்கு பின்னரே தெரியவரும். இதற் கிடையே இந்த சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக வன்கொடுமை தடுப்பு சட்டத்தின்கீழ் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்து கடும் நடவ டிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும், பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு அரசு உரிய நிவாரணம் வழங்க வேண்டும் என வலியுறுத்தி உடலை வாங்க மறுத்து ஆஸ் பத்திரி வளாகத்தில் சண்முக வேலுவின் குடும்பத்தினர் மற் றும் உறவினர்கள் அமர்ந்திருந் ததால் அந்த பகுதியில் பெரும் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.
