Position: MEP Engineer
Job Location: Dubai-UAE
Job Profile
1. Review of the MEP design drawings submitted by Consultants.
2. Review of MEP shop drawings prepared by Contractors.
3. Lead the project team in all technical, and progress meetings with the consultants / contractors / suppliers related to MEP works.
4. Assist the Technical Manager to respond to all correspondences with regards to MEP works.
5. Monitor that the MEP works are carried out as per specification with strict compliance with standard QA / QC procedures.
6. Review of payment applications received for MEP works from consultants and contractors and making recommendation to Technical Manager on payment certification.
7. Preparation of weekly and monthly project status reports for MEP items.
8. Monitor the progress of the MEP works (Design & Construction) based on the approved construction program and advice Technical Manager if there is any delay and recommend corrective actions.
9. Advice on implementation of latest technologies for MEP related works to add value to Mall / Stores.
Qualifications:
1. Engineering Degree (Electrical) with min. 8 years of consulting or contracting experience with at least 3 years GCC experience.
2. Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems required for malls / buildings / retail stores.
3. Familiar with local authority regulations (Civil Defense, Municipality and local Electrical Dept.)
4. Excellent communication and inter personnel skills and ensure smooth functioning of the site.
5. Working knowledge of co-ordination between all trades (structural, architectural, finishes and fit-out)
Competency Requirements:
1. Excellent team player.
2. Proactive and efficiency driven.
3. Valid GCC License.
4. Flexible to travel for short duration within GCC.
